Chevrolet has unveiled its 2014 Impala at this year's New York auto show as the brand continues to reinvigorate its line-up.
The Impala has long and low proportions. On the fascia of the car low-profile projector-beam headlamps flow around the front corners and frame the wide grille, while a power dome sits on the hood. The sides of the Impala have sculpted coves along with a signature cue in the rear fenders, a nod to classic Impala designs.
John Cafaro, director of North America passenger car exterior design, said, "Our design team was challenged to create a new classic, but that didn't mean relying on nostalgia.
"This is very much a contemporary car, with design elements, craftsmanship and attention to detail that complement its advanced technology and performance," he added.
Inside the car the new model features a dual-cockpit interior layout, with the instrument panel moving smoothly into the door panel, while the lighting is designed to convey a sense of ambience. The instrument cluster features a 4.2-inch color display with reconfigurable features, with the eight-inch touch screen being matched with the Chevrolet MyLink system.
Fabric, Ultrasuede and perforated leather appointments are all used within the cabin with the seats designed to provide greater support than before. Chevy Impala Series Air Filter

2013 Chevrolet Trax Crossover
At September’s Paris Motor Show, Chevrolet will roll out an all new compact crossover bound for global markets. Named the Chevrolet Trax, the new model features room for five and what Chevy is calling “class leading” cargo space.
It will launch in Canada and Mexico by year end, and eventually find its way into some 140 markets. Among them, however, won’t be the United States, since we’re not getting access to Chevy’s new compact crossover.
Officially, Chevy cites the strong market position of its mid-sized Equinox crossover as the reason why it won’t sell the Trax here, but we suspect there’s a bit more to it than that.
Buick is about to launch its own version, called the Encore, so selling the same thing (admittedly de-contented, and at a lower price) with a bow on the grille won’t help Buick’s sales. Buick desperately wants to attract younger buyers, and a compact crossover may help do just that.
It’s also likely that the Trax couldn’t be priced low enough to be competitive against the existing Equinox, so Chevrolet saw no sense in adding a model that wouldn’t sell in quantity at the price required. Raising the Equinox’s price to make the Trax more attractive would jeopardize Equinox sales, something Chevy isn’t willing to risk.
If you really want a Trax, your options appear to be relocation to Canada, Mexico or one of the other 138 global markets the crossover will be sold in. We suspect it will be far less expensive to just buy a Buick Encore and call it done.
When it comes to Chevrolet, the one word that probably comes to mind is dominance. And if not, then it should, because Chevy has kept a firm grip on the American auto industry ever since their first models rolled off the line. Drivers from every background depend on Chevy to give them what they need, from NASCAR champions to the everyday person who craves performance and dependability. Street-minded sedans, SUVs, crossovers, and trucks have all contributed to the patriotic success story that has made this brand so special. Maybe that's one reason why Chevrolet owners treat their rides like members of the family. With that in mind, treating your own model correctly means finding the right Chevy Accessories and Parts that represent you the best way possible. After all, that is what it's all about.
CARiD has the high-quality Chevy Accessories and parts you need, whether for replacements or upgrades, and at the prices that make it easy to see all of your dreams become a reality. From subtle additions and extras to mind-blowing modifications, there are no more excuses. Don't worry about scanning the globe for all of your Chevy accessories and parts. Do it right and get what you deserve. Let CARiD be the place to lead you there.

2013 Camaro SS
Chevrolet is resurrecting the 1LE order code for the 2013 Camaro SS. It will turn the pony car into a dedicated track toy with an upgraded suspension, ZL1-based wheels and tires and a high-capacity fuel pump for handling 1g corner loads.
The original 1LE was introduced in 1988, inspired by Pro-Am racing. It turned the Camaro into a showroom stock racer.
The 2013 1LE package is offered only on 1SS and 2SS Camaros with the six-speed manual transmission. The 1LE code makes that manual a close-ratio transmission tuned for road racing and adds a 3.91 final drive ratio.
The twin-tube dampers are replaced with monotube units that allow the suspension to keep most of the ride quality while still focusing on optimal body control. Larger front and rear stabilizer bars are installed along with higher-capacity rear -axle shafts and a strut tower brace. The 1LE also gets the wheel bearings, toe links and rear shock mounts from the Camaro ZL1. Twenty-inch wheels are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle Supercar G2 tires.
Chevy says the extra stick allowed it to get around Virginia International Raceway's Grand Course in less than three minutes.
The new option package adds a matte-black hood, front splitter and rear spoiler to the Camaro. It also borrows the flat-bottomed steering wheel from the ZL1 and the short-throw shifter. Both are trimmed in microfiber suede.
The new option package sets up a Camaro rival to the Ford Mustang Boss 302, which is hard-core version of the GT built for track days. The 2013 Boss 302 is fitted with a 444-hp version of Ford's 5.0-liter V8. The 1LE Camaro rolls with the SS's 6.2-liter V8, rated at 426 hp.
The Camaro with the 1LE option will go on sale in the fall, and pricing will be released later this year. Chevy says it will be less than $40,000. For comparison, the Mustang Boss 302 starts at $42,200

2012 Chevrolet Colorado
The 2012 Chevrolet Colorado ranks 5 out of 6 Compact Pickup Trucks. This ranking is based on our analysis of 61 published reviews and test drives of the Chevrolet Colorado, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The 2012 Chevrolet Colorado is a competent and utilitarian compact pickup truck, but reviewers say the competition outshines it in nearly every respect.
Though the 2012 Chevrolet Colorado is certainly a decent truck, and its base trims are great for buyers on a budget, reviewers find some serious flaws with it. They say its interior lags behind the competition and its four- and five-cylinder engines don’t have enough power for most truck buyers. Test drivers suggest that if you can afford to pay a little extra, a better choice would be to upgrade to a full-size Chevrolet Silverado because you’ll get a more capable and comfortable truck for your money, without much of a penalty in fuel economy compared with V8 Colorado models.
However, buyers in the market for a basic, no-frills utility vehicle may find that the 2012 Chevrolet Colorado suits their needs. Though its interior plastics feel cheap and dated, reviewers say the truck’s features are simple and easy to use, making the Colorado a good choice if you want a basic truck that you won’t mind getting dirty. Plus, Car and Driver says that this truck has "legitimate off-road credentials” in Colorado models equipped with an off-road package.
